These two photographs, the light post and the building, were successful because the light meter was balanced. I also made sure that the ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture were balanced so that the picture wasn't overly exposed or black. I didn't like the natural light in both pictures so I increased the shutter speed. Increasing the shutter speed allowed less light to be captured and made the pictures slightly darker, which looked much better and created a nicer contrast.

These two photographs were successful because of the positioning of my subjects. In both pictures, one subject was closer to the camera and the others were further away. This created the illusion that the subjects placed further back were being 'held' by the subject closer to the camera.

The goal for this assignment was to focus on primarily one color. I was successful in achieving this goal because the color I chose, white, is the main focus of each picture. The pictures are also in focus and the contrast between the background and the subject emphasizes the white.
